General Rules

·        No one except a rider officially entered may ride or practice on the race course at any time.

·        The machine used to qualify must be the one used for 2nd moto at that event.

·        If a moto must be stopped because one or more riders are obstructing the track, that rider(s) may not be allowed to continue in the re-start of that moto. This will be at the officials’ discretion. Riders safety will come first.

·        Race officials will determine restart conditions.

·        If for any reason the race must be stopped, it will be considered completed if over 50% of the race has been run.

·        Any foul riding, unnecessary bumping, crowding, lack of caution, or other unsportsmanlike conduct at the race event is grounds for disqualification or penalty as determined by Sunset Track Officials

·        Officials are not responsible to locate entrants for the event they are entered in.

·        THE RIDER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONDUCT OF HIMSELF, HIS PARENTS, OR ANYONE ELSE ASSOCIATED WITH HIM. Sunset Ramblers reserves the right to refuse entry or participation to anyone including the right to enter the property.

·        Any verbal harassment to the Officials will be grounds for permanent disqualification of the rider or those parties involved.

·        Any physical abuse will be grounds for permanent disqualification of the rider and allowable for notice by Sunset Ramblers to all other race associations of the occurrence.

·        NO REFUNDS will be issued in any classes once you have ridden on the track for practice or racing.

·        All trophies not picked up on the day of the event will be forfeited.

·        Officials reserve the right to prevent anyone from competing in any event if the rider or bike does not comply with the rules.

·        If there are any calls that are questionable, 3 officials will discuss it and come to an official ruling.

 

Protest

 In order to protest a call made by an official you must present your protest in writing, no more than 1/2 an hour from when the call is made. There is also a $25.00 fee.  We will then review the call. If there was a mistake made, you will get your $25.00 back.

Protesting a machine: If you feel there is an issue with a bike/quad there will be a $250.00 fee and complaint must be in writing.  Owner of the machine is to tear down the machine in front of an official. If the protestor is correct they keep their $250.00. If the protestor is wrong the money is given to the bike owner.

Protest with scoring must be made within a 1/2 hour of your race results being posted.

Safety Requirements

ALL RIDERS

·         MUST WEAR A HELMET AND EYE PROTECTION

·         Ankle supported Boots

·         Other safety gear is recommended but can not be enforced. Please use your discretion for the safety of yourself or your child.

·         ALL QUADS MUST HAVE A WORKING TETHERED KILL SWITCH. This will be enforced.

Rain Outs

·        All rain outs will be rescheduled for the end of the season.

·        Rain check can only be used for the rescheduled race.

NO REFUNDS will be issued in any classes.

GATE ADMISSION IS NOT REFUNDABLE.

 

Race Rules & Regulations

·        Yellow Flag- Out and/or waiving. NO passing or Double Jumping.

·        Quads must use a front & rear number plate. Will be enforced.

·        Quads- 50” max width.

·        MX 1st moto 3 laps, 2nd moto 4 laps  (Pro class 1st moto 4 laps, 2nd moto 7 laps)

·        FT  1st moto 6 laps, 2nd moto 8 laps

·        You must race the qualifier to race in the main.

Class Rules & Regulations

·        Motocross - No smaller cc bikes can run with the bigger cc. Example: No 65cc bikes can ride in the 85cc classes.

·        No rider can ride in more than one skilled class or age class. Example: You can’t ride in a Junior & Senior Class of the same cc.

125 D Class

·        Not included in series

·        No jumping step up

·        No jumping finish line

·        No Double Jumping

·        If you win 2 races in D you must move to C or at officials discretion.

·        If you place in the top 5 in an 85cc class you can not race in the D class

 ALL C Classes

·        If you finish in the top 2 in the series, for 2 year you must move to the B class, or at the officials discretion.

 Micro Bike Classes

·        4-6 Classes parents are allowed on track to hold bike up

·        7-8 Classes rider can use block.

·        ALL Micro STOCK classes on Flat Track must have knobby tires.

Class Requirements - Must have 3 riders to make a class.  We will not turn a rider away, but the race may not qualify for points. After the 3rd race we will review the classes to see which ones will be included in the series awards. CHANGES IN RED
